ID Fort William is pleased to welcome Marie McMillan, Chief Officer at Voluntary Action Lochaber, as a new Director of the BID.
Marie brings significant experience from the third sector and has strong working relationships across community organisations, charities, public bodies and local partners throughout Lochaber.
Through her role at Voluntary Action Lochaber, Marie supports collaboration between charities, community groups, public sector partners and local organisations. The organisation plays a key role in strengthening the local voluntary sector, supporting community-led projects and helping organisations work together more effectively.

Marie’s understanding of how community organisations operate, how funding opportunities work, and how different partners can collaborate will help identify opportunities where businesses and community initiatives can support each other.

These connections help ensure that BID projects are well supported locally and that opportunities for collaboration are identified early.
Marie’s experience, local knowledge and established partnerships across the voluntary sector will bring a valuable perspective to the BID Fort William Board.
BID Fort William looks forward to working with Marie and drawing on her experience as the BID continues to deliver projects that support levy payers, strengthen the BID area and build positive partnerships across the community.
