We’re inviting levy payers, key stakeholders, voluntary organisations, and anyone with an interest in the future of Fort William to join us for a special meeting about one of our most exciting projects this year: planting cherry trees at the main gateways into town.
As we shared at our AGM and in our recent newsletters, this project is about more than just planting trees. It’s about brightening the entrances to Fort William, creating a warmer welcome for visitors, and giving local businesses a boost through increased footfall. First impressions matter, and the gateways into town are often the very first thing people see.
We’ve already had great conversations with a number of local businesses, Councillors, and community organisations about how this can come together. We’re also in exciting discussions with the Sakura Cherry Project, which could help bring even more expertise and support to the initiative.
Now, we want to widen the circle. This meeting is your chance to hear the full picture, ask any questions you have, and find out how you can get involved.
