Comms West: Property Improvement Grants in Action

BID Fort William is proud to continue supporting local businesses through its Property Improvement Grant scheme, designed to help levy payers invest in the visual and structural enhancement of their premises. These improvements not only uplift individual properties but also contribute to a more vibrant, welcoming, and professional business environment across Fort William.

The following recent projects highlight the positive impact of the scheme and encourage other levy payers to consider applying.

Comms West, a local internet service provider based in the Ben Nevis Industrial Estate, recently applied for a Property Improvement Grant to enhance the exterior of their new premises. Their application included new professional signage and a complete exterior repaint, creating a clean, modern, and welcoming look for clients and visitors.

Having already invested in extensive internal upgrades, Comms West’s goal was to ensure their outward appearance reflected the same high professional standards as their service delivery. The transformation was carried out by trusted local suppliers, All Round Signs, and has already had a positive impact on visibility and brand recognition.

“Comms West is a local internet company, and we recently located to new larger premises in the Ben Nevis Industrial Estate. With the help of The Property Improvement Grant from BID Fort William, we were able to invest in a professionally designed outdoor sign that not only looks fantastic but also helps us attract new business and has already drawn positive attention from passersby.

Moving into a new office is a big step and having a sign that reflects who we are is incredibly important. We’re grateful for the support; it’s helped us make a strong first impression.”

Fiona Currie, Sales Advisor, Comms West

BID Fort William was delighted to support this project, recognising how visible and professional premises contribute to the overall impression of the industrial estate and the wider business community.
