We are inviting local voices to help shape the town’s next steps. We’re gathering quick, practical feedback on how we can improve the town centre – from retail and events to accessibility, signage, and visitor experience.
Your views will directly inform upcoming BID projects, investment priorities, and partnership work over the BID term.

17 December 2025 at 21h22For me to shop in town more there has to be shops I actually want to buy stuff from. Such as primark.
More social spaces with a nice environment would be great and that actually have comfy seats with a good ambience and nice looking decorations – comfortable seating being the main one. Hard wooden seats are crap.
Canopies so that I dont have to use an umbrella all the time. I cant see the shops or whatever improvements are there if I’m hiding under an umbrella.
A decent buffet restuarant or a carvery would be a good addition.
Nicer looking lighting would be good.
Shopping has to be an event. And it has to feel like I’m not getting ripped off and it isn’t a waste of time.
The street has to look nice and be sheltered.
